If you have a platform bed with slats (usually 12 to 14) and your bed is going on a wood floor, we recommend you purchase an Ultra Low Mattress Foundation to give extra strength and stability to your mattress. Your mattress will have a longer life-span and chances are better that your mattress will never sag. If the platform bed slides causing the center support legs to buckle under, this extra thin foundation will help maintain the support your mattress requires. Although it is nearly as strong as a boxspring, it is to be used only with a slatted platform bed and is not strong enough to use as a boxspring.
